Case Study: Rudy
Meet Rudy
This beautiful boy has just gone home after spending 3.5 weeks with me for some intensive therapeutic work.
As per usual, he and his body had a lot to teach me. Reinforcing over and over again, everything is connected, you can’t work on one area of the body without influencing another, this is always important to remember...
The dance we had unwinding tension and restoring mobility to his TMJ, AO and cervical spine, would then take me to his diaphragm & psoas, which would then lead me to the next phase of unwinding for his TMJ, which would then take me to his pelvis, on and on the dance went. It really is a marvelous thing listening and following where the body needs us to go. Sometimes to places our logical mind would have never taken us.
Melding the analytical, logical mind, with the intuitive feel is so vital in this work.
This process was not just one of “manual therapies”, moving his body was integral, guiding him to explore new options of movement, of stabilisation, of proprioceptive awareness. To show him another way, instead of recruiting back to his dominant neural pathways
So much fun!
What do you see in the photos below?
I have marked up copies of each to help highlight some things
Red line follows his spine.
Yellow line wither/scapula outline.
